Summary of Position

Social27 is looking for an experienced Database developer who is working on multiple databases like MongoDB and MS SQL. A person who should design and implement redundancy and fail over strategies, must be aware of how to do the development of high - quality database solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain multiple database servers across multiple environments Design & implement redundancy and fail-over strategies 
  • Development of high-quality database solutions  
  • Monitor and tune query performance 
  • Keep clear documentation of the database setup and architecture Write procedures for backup and disaster recovery 
  • Ensure that the databases achieve maximum performance and availability Design indexing strategies 
  • Configure, monitor, and deploy replica sets 
  • Upgrade databases through patches 
  • Create roles and users and set their permissions 
  • Develop, implement, and optimize stored procedures and functions using T-SQL
  • Build appropriate and useful reporting deliverables 
  • Analyze existing SQL queries for performance improvements 
  • Suggest new queries 
  • Develop procedures and scripts for data migration 
  • Provide timely scheduled management reporting 
  • Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming 
  • Diagnose and resolve production issues as needed 24x7 
  • Develop and document best practices for maintenance, monitoring, migration, and fail-over strategies 

 

Experience: 2 to 3 years

 

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working with large, distributed database systems with focus on performance & tuning.  
  • Deep knowledge of DB performance/scaling concepts and tuning best practices 
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience 
  • Highly self-motivated with the desire to embrace new database technologies and must be able to work independently or within a team in a high demand and dynamic environment. 
  • Strong team player with excellent written and verbal skills 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment with a broad scope of responsibilities
